A pause...
With exciting news comes a little breathing room...
Hello you lovely lot, I hope you’re doing well and are having a gentle start to the year!
I wanted to write this post to keep you updated and in the loop! If you haven’t heard yet… I’m publishing my first novel this October! Even typing this feels incredibly surreal. It’s a real dream come true!
Many of you know how heartbroken I was when my first book went unpublished six years ago. It took a huge amount of courage to have the confidence to start writing fiction again (and even more to believe it might actually happen)! I’m so glad I didn’t give up!
However… book edits are no joke!
Between edits, re-writes, deadlines and alongside YouTube and Instagram, I’m very much in my ‘head down, pineapple bun hair do, surrounded by manuscripts’ kinda era. And in order to give this book the best chance of being everything I want it to be, something has to give.
So I’ve taken the decision to pause all substack subscriptions for the next few months.
What that means for you:
If you're a paid subscriber, you can still access allllll of my old posts but you won’t be billed during the pause. As soon as I’m able to return properly and consistently, I’ll reinstate subscriptions (and let you know in advance via instagram stories).
My monthly ‘What’s On in London’ guides will be on pause until June, which actually feels quite fitting and just in time for summer in the city, rosé season and all the best outdoor plans.
And when I’m back? I have so much coming. New York travel guides (breakfast spots, daily itineraries, dinner gems and book shops not to miss), alongside more dating chats and London recs.
This substack means so much to me, so I don’t see this as stepping away, just creating a bit of breathing room so I can pour everything into this book before it goes out into the world!
