Every Restuarant I ate at in October...

October was a delicious month, I was very lucky to enjoy so many nice meals out in the beautiful city of London. This month’s post is v honest and includes a brilliant cheese toastie recommendation, as well as a very soggy one I wouldn’t recommend…

Som Saa, ££, Aldgate

We’re kicking off with an absolute BLAST of a dinner - this was a new restaurant discovery for me that I couldn’t recommend more and that we loved so much, we’ve already booked again to take some friends!

Som Saa is thai restuarant near Liverpool Street with dishes that are truly incredible, full of flavour and really memorable. I really loved the Mu Parlow - five spice soy braised pork with chilli sauce and soy cured egg (£16), the Nahm Phrik Ion (£13) prawn and coconut curry, and also the Nahm Dtok Pla Thort (£22.50) is their speciality, a whole fried sea bass with herbs (you can have this served whole or de-boned), the flavours of which blew us both away! I recommend ordering a few plates and sharing so you can try it all!

Bake Street, £, Stoke Newington

Bake Street

For the best burger of your life, you must visit Bake Street. We went on a Saturday afternoon and ordered two burgers to share:

The Makhani Burger is a fried chicken burger with a layer of cheese, coriander sauce, slaw and a butter chicken sauce and is mouth wateringly good. Definitely the best chicken burger I’ve ever tasted. The Smash burger too is brilliant - it’s very simple with no frills - just American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickles + fried shallot but every ingredient is just done to perfection and every bite is a delight.

You can’t reserve Bake Street and also there’s no indoor seating so wrap up warm! They do have cover if it rains but it’s worth it! We also tried their limited edition cream soda ice cream and their bakes look great too!
