Everywhere I ate in March, 2025
I love looking back on all the delicious food that I’ve been lucky enough to eat in the previous month through writing these posts, and March was a great month full of tasty dinners and new restaurant discoveries that I’m excited to share with you all!
The Knave of Clubs, Shoreditch, ££
A historic East End pub, The Knave of Clubs, has been bought back to life and has now become my new fav haunt - I love this place SO much that I visited 3 times last week (for a foodie date, a wine catch up with a friend and for negroni’s on a double date!). Not only is the decor here just beautiful as they’ve kept most of the original features - think typical east London green tiling, but they’re also serving up oysters and rotisserie chicken alongside an incredible starter menu.
What to order: The Prawn toast scotch egg is a must have, the venison sausage rolls are meaty and full of flavour, the beef fat potatoes taste like just that and their toasties are incredible.
Tamil Crown, Angel, £££
A new spot for me but one I know I’ll definitely be re-visiting, The Tamil Crown (sister restaurant to the much loved Tamil Prince) serve up South Indian cuisine in a former pub and it’s a gem. Located down a quiet street behind Angel station, the location is fantastic, the vibe is chilled and the food memorable. They also offer a roast dinner on Sunday’s that I’m desperate to try.
What to order: Three of us ordered a Buch of small and large plates to share and we all loved the Okra fries and the Bhel Puri (a savoury puffed rice topped with delicious chutneys and pomegranate seeds), I also loved the Coconut Prawn Moilee curry, especially with a roti to dunk.
Queen’s Arms, Walthamstow, ££
I just love Walthamstow village, it’s full of independant boutiques, restaurants and pubs, and the Queen’s Arms is one of our favs for a wine after work. It was our first time dining here so we weren’t sure what to expect but my whole family enjoyed their Sunday roast!
What to order: I’m not a roast dinner fan (unless it’s a Toby Carvery or home cooked) so I had the chicken schnitzel ceasar salad which was beautifully cooked and a portion that didn’t leave me feeling super full! I tried a bit of G’s vegan wellington roast and it was nice and mushroom-y too!
