GUIDE TO: Deal. A sunny seaside break...
If you're craving an escape from city life, Deal is one of my favourite UK day trip destinations less than 2 hours from London. Here's what I recommend getting up to.
If you have a spare weekend this summer and fancy a day or night away, I can really recommend the quaint coastal town of Deal. It’s such a charming town with a high street full of independent shops, a pebble stoned beach and waterfront bistros making it a really memorable weekend away!
Deal is around a 2 hour drive from London (just south of Margate) or you can grab the South Eastern Train from St Pancras to Deal in 1 hour 20 (approx £17), and here are my favourite things to get up to when visiting…
Charity Shopping:
This isnt’t gonna be everyone’s cup of tea but I absolutely love spending a couple of hours second-hand shopping in Deal! There are around 8 antiques + charity stores down and around the main highstreet and I’ve found some of my all-time fav wardrobe items in Deal, including a vintage two-piece velvet waistcoat + skirt suit and also my Pentax film camera (that I got for £11 and that takes the best pictures!). Everything is priced fairly (compared to London charity stores) and there are lots of vinyl crates too!
