Marks and Spencers Petite Jeans
After my successful no spend September month, I decided to treat myself to an afternoon at Westfield Stratford to shop for some new petite trousers and I hit the jackpot in Marks and Spencers! I had no idea they had such a huge selection of petite offerings in the jeans department and ended up purchasing a few pairs! Firstly a brown cord pair that I’ve worn on repeat since, a black wide leg jean pair + some cigarette ankle grazers too. They have all jeans in both regular, short and long so I think this is a fantastic option for those in need of some new trousers soon.

The Passage Audiobook
One of my favourite books is The Passage by Justin Cronin, I first read it back in 2011 and it’s been on my list to books to re-read since, but it’s a beast of a book at a whopping almost 800 pages. I decided to revisit it via audiobook (as there are so many new books I want to read too) and I’ve been enjoying listening to it so far! I’m half way through and it’s just as good as I first remembered. It’s a post apocalyptic fiction told from many points of view and is ultimately a vampire tale… I find it scary, I love the characters and it’s satisfying my dystopian itch!
Eun Sweater
In October I finished my most sophisticated knitted garment to date - the Eun Sweater by November Knits. I splashed out and treated myself to some fancy yarn for this projects and used Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino and Soft Silk Mohair in Thundercloud and Midnight and it’s the perfect winter jumper - very warm and I just love the split ribbing hem and the raglan increase details around the neckline. So chuffed with this and proud of myself for making this in a month!

Som Saa
G and I fancied an impromptu date night and having decided I fancied thai food, we visited Som Saa in Aldgate. I’m SO happy we went here because it’s become one of my favourite restaurants that I’m gagging to go back to. The flavours in every dish are unlike anything either of us had tried before - check out my ‘what I ate in October post’ to hear more!

Stoke Newington Day out
Everytime I visit Stoke Newington I fall in love with the area even more. It has the cutest high street filled with indecent coffee shops, bakeries, wine bars, florists and restaurants (and two some yarn stores!) as well as a lovely park with fallow deer and budgies. G and I spent a day exploring the area and both left feeling so fulfilled, full of delicious food and shopped out. I’m currently writing up an area guide for the location so stay tuned for my top recommendations!

Endurance
One thing you should know about me: I’ve always been obsessed with shipwrecks, the one thing I want to do before I die is snorkel at a shipwreck site! So when I heard there was a new documentary about the legendary Ernest Shackleton’s ship Endurance and them finding the boat after 107 years, I HAD to see it! I booked tickets to the BFI Film Festival for the premiere and wow, what an incredible film. It’s now available to watch on Disney + so if you have membership I’d really recommend watching!

Edge of Ember Jewellery
I was kindly gifted some new jewellery from Edge of Ember and haven’t taken them off since. I chose an M initial necklace (for Maurice!) and some sunseeker charm earrings which are delicate and so easy to wear. They kindly gave me a discount code for my followers too, just in time for the Christmas period! Code: KATIES15 will get you 15% off in case you fancied treating yourself too!

I hope you too had a lovely spooky season and I look forward to making lots more content for you over the month ahead! As always, if there’s anything in particular you’d like to see, do leave me a comment!
