Stoke Newington Area Guide
My area guide to the wonderful and homely Stoke Newington. Where to shop, eat, walk + date!
I love Stoke Newington in East London - their highstreet is full of independent coffee shops, family run stores, florists and exploring the area makes for the perfect weekend day out. Here are my top recommendations to stop by when you visit.
FOOD + WINE
Spence Bakery
Your first stop in Stokey must be a coffee and pastry from The Spence Bakery, I had the best cheese + marmite croissant of my life here and am desperate to try their other bakes. The coffee was also great (I judge this on wether or not I need to add sugar to my drink and I can confirm I didn’t in this one!)

Bake Street
The best burger I’ve ever had in my life was at Bake Street - a tiny bake, ice cream and burger house near Rectory Road station (so about a 10 minute walk from Stoke Newington High Street). It’s worth the walk (through the beautiful residential roads). There’s no inside seating and you can’t reserve but it’s worth it.
