For our 2 year wedding anniversary this year we decided to escape the hustle of London and visit Paxos in Greece for a week of utter relaxation. I wanted to write up a travel guide so you know what to expect if you're also booking a trip - it was one of our all time favourite holidays so I'd really recommend it!
Travel:
We booked a flight from Stansted to Corfu with Tui which included hand luggage (x2 bags each) which was fantastic value. The flight took 3 hours to Corfu and to reach Paxos you need to catch a ferry. There are two ferry cruise options. Firstly, Joy cruises which I would not recommend! The pro is that the Joy Cruises ferry leaves from Corfu port which is only 20 min drive from the airport, however the ferry arrived 3 hours late and then what was supposed to be an hour ride, ended up taking 2.30 hours (which ate into most of our first day of holiday)! Their boats seem old and a little unreliable so for our return trip we looked up other options.
On our way home we used Kalamia ferry which was on time, quick and efficient but the only con is they dock up at Lefkimmi in Corfu which is an hour's drive from the airport. Luckily coach transfers from port to airport is included in the ticket price so it was a very smooth sailing journey!

Accommodation - Glyfada Beach Villas:
We booked Glyfada Beach Villas near Loggos and couldn't recommend it enough. Not only were the owners Doreen and Spiros so helpful throughout our trip, but the resort is fantastic with access to two beaches (one is private + easily accessible for hotel guests), two swimming pools, a restaurant and a beach bar (if you're not staying you can rent their sunbeds for 5euros per bed).
