What's on in London: July 2025
Your curated guide to the best things to do, see and celebrate in London this July.
Summer is in full swing and London is buzzing this month with so many fun things to do, whether you're craving a refreshing swim in Canary Wharf, want to get swept up in Pride celebrations, or just fancy dipping into a floral-scented pop-up on your lunch break. I’ve rounded up my favourite events and exhibitions happening this July that I think you’ll love. These are perfect for solo dates, girls' days out or just making the most of the sunshine.
Open Water Swimming, Canary Wharf, From £24, link
Okay, this is SUCH a good one if you’re trying to survive the London heatwave or just want a main character moment in the middle of the city. Canary Wharf has brought back their dreamy open-water swimming spot at Eden Dock, and it’s giving urban oasis vibes. It’s £9 for a dip, but you do also need a yearly membership (£15) and to bring a bright swim cap and a tow float (they take safety v seriously - best to check their website above for the full details). But, floating in cool, clean water surrounded by skyscrapers? It’s the kind of refreshing that makes you forget you’ve been sweating on the Central Line for a week straight.
Roxy Ball Room, Liverpool Street, link
G and I went on a date night to Roxy Ball Room last month and I wanted to share here as we had such a great night out. This bar is packed with ball games, everything from ping pong (and beer pong), tech darts, a shooting range game, a karaoke bar and my personal favourite Crazy pool (think mini golf but on pool tables). You can also order drinks and food whilst you play or just hang out under the air con with a cocktail - it’s great for a couples date or with a big group of friends. Prices range - Crazy Pool is £12 per person per game (there are 8 tables per game), Ping Pong is £24 per table per hour) and the more expensive Shooting pods/Ice free curling are £48 per lane per hour).
Buckingham Palace State Rooms, 10th July- 28th September, from £32, link
Every Summer Buckingham Palace open their State Rooms and I went for the first time last year and enjoyed the day out WAY more than I thought I would.
The State Rooms are as OTT as you’d expect; chandeliers, red carpets, original paintings by literal Rembrandt. You can take it all at your own pace and finish with a little wander around the gardens and a treat from the café. I would HIGHLY recommend booking a visit purely to see the incredible art collection they have in their gallery - who knew Buckingham Palace was home to so many Canaletto paintings! This is your sign to book a ticket before they sell out!
London Pride, Saturday 5th July, Free, link
Can you believe I’ve lived in London my whole life and still never experienced Pride? Well this year it’s going to be big with 5 stages across the Central / Soho neighbourhoods (each with a different theme - think drag queens on Dean Street and Trans Led stage in Soho and LGBTQIA+ women + non binary in Leicester Square), alongside thousands of people, glitter, dancing, and so much joy and love. The parade kicks off at Hyde Park Corner at midday and winds through central London, finishing at Whitehall Place. Whether you’re celebrating yourself or showing up as an ally, it’s one of the most uplifting and moving days in the city. Pack SPF, comfy shoes, and ALL the rainbow accessories.
