I literally didn’t realise I had visited so many seaside towns in the UK until I started this substack. So far I’ve written foodie guides to both Whitby and Deal here (two of my favs if you’re looking for a staycation break), and now we’re back with a guide to Margate!

One of my besties lives in Margate and so last summer we took a trip and ending up eating and drinking in the cutest spots, so I wanted to share them for you today.

(Please note we visited last year so menus and dishes at each recommendation may have changed slightly since)!

Cliffs

Cliffs is hybrid coffee/brunch/vinyl store… aka, the dream! We arrived in margate in time for brunch and our friend recommended this spot that we loved. G is a huge vinyl fan so he was able to shop for tunes whilst I sat drinking my coffee and knitting.

What to order: I had the mushrooms on toast which I’d recommend and the hash browns were also fantastic.
